What is Post Exhaustion Training ?

This is a modality where compound movements are performed prior to isolation movements in a training program.

Why do you need to use it ?

​

This is the method used by most powerlifters and power bodybuilders. The advantage is you will be at your strongest when executing compound movements first and after all these movements should form the base of your training as they elicit an outstanding hormonal response to training !

Acute responses observed over distinct time periods have confirmed the order of exercises correlates to maximum strength, ability to perform over multiple sets and total volume.

Research concludes that exercise order should be made based on neuromuscular demand (so yes compound movements should be prioritized) and empirical evidence from the most strongest men on the planet seconds this.
