On the right, is an absolute legend, a man who I confidently believe is a life time natural, the man who inspired Arnold, and on the left, is a kid who was inspired by Arnold and had 8 years of training by the time he was 20 years old, proud to say I'm a lifetime natural too. You don't know the extent of dedication required to pack on solid muscle mass moulded by years of consistent training.
I could have shown the true potential of genetics and natural bodybuilding hadn't I come across an unfortunate non training related injury years back which haunts me to this day, life lessons I learnt down the line, that made me an even more powerful man mentally today.
The true power of natural bodybuilding has been only understood by a very few. Legends like Reg Park were against the use of anabolic steroids. The absolute discipline which the sport brings and the raw power and aggression you need to elicit the growth of your physique as you mend it day by day obsessed as to when you'll look like a Greek god, is a pursuit only a handful would understand.
As I unravel important concepts, what's amazing is the younger version of myself moulded the physique through gut instinct and collecting knowledge along the way, not through books, not even through the styles used by these legends (there are differences in the methodology used, with obvious similarities too though)
With time, it's apparent that the golden concepts that created physiques we aspire to this day, have been eroded, by the influx of modern machines, training styles and individuals who have an influence that's dangerous, as they spread false claims and systems which are novel that manipulate a society that's running on dopamine.
I hope the young would always look upto the pioneers of bodybuilding, who had a more balanced life and who were more than the muscle they represented.
Start at any age, if you got the obsession you can do it, there'll be a price to pay, it'll be worth it if this is your dream.
