Weak Muscle Groups ?

How many of you actually notice that you have a muscle group that’s weaker than the rest ? Maybe that should be your first step.

Now that you did look at the mirror and identify a few weak muscle groups, what are some of the obvious ways you can improve this ?

i) Start the program from the weak group - Logically your energy is at your highest at the beginning of your training program, so starting the program with a body part that is weak is one of the best ways to improve it !

Concerns - You need to be cautious though, if your biceps are weak and if you always start your programs with biceps, its not always a good decision. Your arms will fatigue when hitting the larger muscle group later in your routine (example your biceps can fail before you properly work on your lats) so be wise when sequencing it. Don’t overuse this strategy.

ii) Increase the volume per week - One of the best ways to elicit growth is to increase the volume of training related to the weak muscle group. There are a multitude of elements to play around with but increasing the number of sets or the number of exercises per training session is a good place to start with.

iii) Improve your nutrition - Sometimes, before we target specifics, we need to reflect on our basics and see if the cornerstones are all set. A small change in your nutrition prepping can lead to a considerable change in your physique, if you haven't been doing what you can about nutrition lately, maybe its time for you to rethink and implement some changes, it will definitely improve your overall progress
