Why homeworkouts should be the last resort ?

Lets be honest

You are already having priorities in life. Building a physique is nowhere near the top 3 goals of the general population. So when you do allocate time to construct the “ideal” physique, do not make the mistake of working out at home unless it’s the last option left.

Doing something is better than nothing, which is true, but if you do have the capacity to join a gym in close proximity to your house, you should do this by all means.

Here's why

The ease of access to machines, ranges of fixed dumbells and adjustable benches will take your body way further than a pair of dumbells at home will ever do. You can’t replace the intensity at a gym from a homeworkout. A homeworkout can be supplementary to your goal, but it should not be the main form of training. If your goal is to shred fat and the training program is a 5 day program, you can opt for a day of training at home with submaximal intensity.

It's not really cheap

Furthermore, from personal experience I have realized that equipment (such as domestic benches) which are cheaper than their commercial counterpart have design flaws. Since you require progressive overload to grow more muscle mass you will have to invest in weights and certain equipment throughout time, so homeworkouts are not necessarily cheap.

Remember this

During high intensity weeks you will need a partner to spot heavy compound exercises, and your dad or your sedentary sibling will probably be incapable of doing this, both the home spotter and you yourself will end up in snapcity.

Conclusion

Every individual should possess a pair of dumbells at home, but do not stick to homeworkouts for comfort when you are capable of joining a gym.

Bonus point of joining a gym – Sometimes it feels good to show off
